Isaac'a Broken Arm

Isaac had three days left of school, when he was running in his classroom and tripped over the leg of a desk or chair. He ended up breaking his arm. He will be in a cast for 6-8 weeks. His grandma and I were worried that he had ruined his summer because he wouldn't be able to go swimming. However, we were able to find something called the Dry-Pro. It is a silicon sleeve which creates a vacuum seal around his cast, allowing him to shower, bath, and swim.

Isaac really loves it. When this picture was taken, he wasn't sure if he wanted any one to sign his cast because his friends were not going to be able to. He has since decided that other people can sign and had LOTS of names on it.

A House Warming

Lee and Lupe had a house warming yesterday. They invited lots of people over and had a ton of great food. They made guacamole, salsa, steaks, chicken, roasted corn, roasted jalapenos, and roasted onions. They also had a ton of chips and warm tortillas. Everyone had a very nice time hanging out and listening to music. Lupe had "Happy Mother's Day" balloons for all the moms who were there. She also had a Tres Leche cake for dessert.

Birthday Correction

Alright, I never said I was perfect. Carmen's birthday is on April 30th, not the 31st. Let's make sure we celebrate on the right day!

Happy Birthday Matthew!!

Matthew's 15th birthday was on April 10th. He had a hotel pool party on the 11th. Plenty of family were there to help him celebrate. We ate lots of pizza and had a yummy Tres Leche cake. Yohanna, Evelyn, and Bea had lots of fun in the water and didn't want to get out. Anna made sure there were plenty of water toys for everyone. There was an abundance of squishy balls and quite a few water guns. The room was rented for the night, so Matthew got to spend the night there. Millie had so much fun that she decided to rent a room for her family as well. Matthew received some cash and a cool skateboard from his Grandma Elena.

Welcome!

I would like to take a moment to welcome Yohanna,7, and Evelyn,6 , to Los Lunas. They are Polo, Tere, Manny, and Peewee's little sisters. They were born in Deming and have also lived in Mexico. Now they are staying with Millie and her gang. They are both enjoying spending time with all their siblings and being aunties to Bea. They are doing well in school and working on improving their English. They have been very busy visiting Chucky E. Cheese, Aquarium, Botanical Gardens, Zoo, and a few parks. Hopefully soon we will be able to take them fishing at Tingley Beach.
