Birthday Correction

Alright, I never said I was perfect. Carmen's birthday is on April 30th, not the 31st. Let's make sure we celebrate on the right day!

Happy Birthday Matthew!!

Matthew's 15th birthday was on April 10th. He had a hotel pool party on the 11th. Plenty of family were there to help him celebrate. We ate lots of pizza and had a yummy Tres Leche cake. Yohanna, Evelyn, and Bea had lots of fun in the water and didn't want to get out. Anna made sure there were plenty of water toys for everyone. There was an abundance of squishy balls and quite a few water guns. The room was rented for the night, so Matthew got to spend the night there. Millie had so much fun that she decided to rent a room for her family as well. Matthew received some cash and a cool skateboard from his Grandma Elena.

I would like to take a moment to welcome Yohanna,7, and Evelyn,6 , to Los Lunas. They are Polo, Tere, Manny, and Peewee's little sisters. They were born in Deming and have also lived in Mexico. Now they are staying with Millie and her gang. They are both enjoying spending time with all their siblings and being aunties to Bea. They are doing well in school and working on improving their English. They have been very busy visiting Chucky E. Cheese, Aquarium, Botanical Gardens, Zoo, and a few parks. Hopefully soon we will be able to take them fishing at Tingley Beach.

Surprise!

Yesterday was Elena's 54Th birthday. I decided to give her a surprise party. Millie and her gang, Elsa, Elva, my brother and his gang, Pasty, Rowen, and me and my gang were all there. We met at a restaurant called Cecilia's Cafe. I was watching "Dinners, Drive-ins, and Dives" and saw this place featured on it. The food looked really good and I thought it would a good place to eat. I called them and arranged it so that we could have the whole place to ourselves. They stayed opened past there regular business hours just for us. My mom was really surprised at all the effort we went through to pull this party off. She is still calling me "sneaky". She had a really good time. The food was excellent. We all had a lot of talking and hanging out. Elena got many gifts, including "IT", which all the sisters will find out about later. There was a reading of the "54Th Birthday Curse" by Millie, and of course cake. Elsa made a German chocolate cake....one of my mom's favorites. All in all it was a great day.

Congratulations Tere!!!!

Tere graduated from PIMA Medical Instuite with a certificate in Dental Assistance on Saturday, February 27, 2009! She is very excited and plans on returning to school to become a dental hygienist. She worked very hard and we are all giving a big round of applause!!!!!
